I know it has been a long time since RetroStone2 came out and that this is coming very late. But I made a new OS for RetroStone2. It’s called RetroStoneOS.
It is incredibly better than what we had years ago.
- It boots in 2s and shutdown in 1s.
- Resume game that was running when shutdown on reboot.
- HDMI hotplug switch works.
- System translated in 22 languages
- Battery overlay and managment better.
- System updates via WIFI
- RetroStoneVC : Some arcade games are included in the image.
Note, we also have builds of this new OS for other board, like the raspberry pis. Although I have only tested on RetroStone2.

If you encounter some issues, you can open issues on the github page and I’ll tackle them asap.
